I grew up with the chocolate version as a favorite cookie of my father. Our friend Kara made this peanut butter version and my kids thoroughly enjoyed them. {Ingredients} 6 cups sugar 1 cup milk 1 cup butter 1 1/2 cup peanut butter 6 cups quick oats 1 tsp vanilla {Directions} In large saucepan, place sugar, milk, and butter. Stir well. Heat on medium to medium/high. Beat, stir constantly.  Bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes when only small lumps of peanut butter remain.
